Scotch Universe Mars I is a single cask Highland Park, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2018 at a cask strength of 63.1%.
It spent nine years in a first fill Valpolicella wine barrique. The series bottles without chill filtration or caramel colour, and this one is reddish with a pink tint.
The nose is very fruity with a little stable note, and surprisingly soft and inviting for the strength. The palate has plenty of wildness alongside a lovely softness.
