Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire & Tokaji is a 12 year old single cask Islay single malt, bottled at 54.1% in a 70cl bottle. The Tokaji wine influence runs through it alongside a peated, coastal character.
The nose opens with thick peat smoke and medicinal bandages wrapped in golden syrup and dried apricot, then seaweed, charred driftwood, honeysuckle and orange blossom. The palate is oily, with chilli-flecked dark chocolate, woodsmoke, honeyed peach, sultana, nectarine, briny seaweed and black pepper. The finish is very long, with cold ash, lemon curd, crystallised ginger, butterscotch and grilled pineapple.
