Secret Islay is a 14-year-old single malt from an Islay distillery that is not named, bottled by The Whisky Cellar at a cask strength of 54.7% ABV. The spirit was distilled in 2008 and matured in a refill bourbon barrel. 253 bottles were filled, each of 75cl.
The nose shows salty peat smoke, green olives and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, creamy sweet vanilla meets a burning campfire, with a hint of peanut butter and black pepper. The finish carries sweet spice and warming peat smoke.
