Shin Serene Blended Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Shin Serene is a Japanese blended whisky from Eigashima, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is named after Mr. Hiraishi, the eighth generation of Eigashima Shuzo, and the soft, gentle style reflects the fascination of the Seto Inland Sea and his own gentle nature. The blend is made from whisky aged for 3 years in sherry, bourbon and Japanese shochu barrels, and draws on Eigashima's long blending experience and sake brewing tradition. It is amber in colour. The nose offers orange peel, honey, pepper and spice. The palate is oily, with citrus, vanilla and light honey. The finish recalls peaches and almonds, with honey and a mellow aftertaste.
