Shinobu Blended Shogun Edition (70cl)

Shinobu Blended Shogun Edition is a Japanese blended whisky from the Shinobu Distillery in Niigata, created by master blender Ken Usami. It matures first in former bourbon and sherry casks, then is finished in Japanese Mizunara oak. The bottle is shaped to resemble a shogun's armour and helmet. The nose combines citrus peel, candied apple and honeyed malt with toasted oak, sandalwood and soft floral notes. The palate is sweet and balanced, with ripe fruit, vanilla, coconut and light baking spice over delicate Mizunara oak. The finish is medium and clean, with sweet wood spice, gentle smoke and dried fruit.
