Shinobu Blended Whisky Mizunara Oak Finish (70cl, 43%)

Shinobu Blended Whisky is a Japanese blend made in Niigata, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Its master blender, Mr. Usami, selects whiskies from different distilleries, matures them first in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, then finishes them in Japanese Mizunara oak. The blend is half malt and half grain, and the colour is natural. The nose brings softly roasted nuts, jellied pear and honeysuckle. On the palate, black pepper and clove come first, followed by ripe citrus fruit and baked apples, leading to a long, smooth finish.
