Shinobu Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt made by Master Distiller Ken Usami in Niigata. The name comes from a Japanese word meaning "forbearance" or "patience". It is made from selected malt whiskies and finished in Japanese Mizunara oak casks, which add notes of sandalwood and gentle spice. It is bottled at 43% ABV without chill filtration. The tasting notes describe honey, malted barley and creamy vanilla, with delicate oak spice and a silky mouthfeel. The finish is long and warming.
