Skibbereen Eagle is a blended Irish whiskey from West Cork Distillers, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
Its malt whiskey is matured only in Bodega sherry casks, while the grain whiskey rests in first fill bourbon casks. The two are blended afterwards. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose is sweet, with caramel, vanilla and rich toffee beside a light creamy note. On the palate caramel and vanilla lead, joined by toffee, cinnamon and white pepper. The finish keeps a gentle spice, and the caramel fades towards lightly burnt sugar.
