Smokehead Original Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Smokehead Original is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Ian Macleod Distillers, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is the flagship expression of the Smokehead range. The whisky is known for dense peat and woodsmoke, with coastal saltiness, citrus and spice set against a layer of honeyed sweetness. The nose brings heavy woodsmoke and earthy peat with fresh lemon, ginger and rich plum. On the palate, peppery smoke and warming spice meet honeyed sweetness, followed by salt, seaweed and another wave of smoke. The finish is smoky and warming, with exotic spice, mandarin-like citrus and returning peat.
