Smokehead Rum Rebel is a peated Islay single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in bourbon casks and was then finished in Jamaican rum casks.
The nose offers big smoke and fiery peat, then citrus and tropical fruit, with a hint of marshmallow and bacon. The palate is rich and peaty, with thick oils and sea spray softened by dried spices, banana and dark wood.
The finish brings caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla against lingering smoke.
