Smokehead Sherry Bomb Cask Finish is an Islay single malt from Ian Macleod Distillers, released as a limited edition at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
It has matured in Oloroso sherry casks, which add sweet sherry influence to a heavily peated whisky.
The nose offers thick peat smoke with fruit, cream, oak, custard and vanilla. On the palate there is oily peat smoke and sweet barbecue aromas, with banana, sultanas and dried fruit. The finish carries sherry and peat.
