This is a 15 year old Speyburn single malt from Speyside, matured in American and Spanish oak casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The distillery was founded by John Hopkins, who set out to have a first whisky ready for 1897, the year of Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee.
The amber whisky has a nose of dark chocolate, raisins, fresh citrus and vanilla with spice. The palate brings orange, toffee, vanilla and leather wrapped in gentle spice. The finish is long, with a warming spice that is sweet and creamy.
