Springbank – 21 Year Old Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2012) (70cl, 76%)

This is a 21-year-old sherried single malt from Springbank in Campbeltown, in a 70cl bottle. It is described as a balance of spirit character, mellow ageing and an old, dignified profile, with some punch still in it. Springbank malts its barley on traditional floors, distils the spirit, matures it in its own Campbeltown warehouses and bottles it on site. It is the only distillery in Scotland to carry out every stage in one place. The bottling is presented as a nod to Victorian whisky production, and around 1600 bottles were made at the time.
