Springbank 30 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It was released in June 2022, with 1,400 bottles produced.
The whisky matured in a combination of 85% ex-bourbon and 15% ex-sherry casks. Springbank, founded in 1828, carries out every production step on site and uses its 2.5 times distillation method.
The nose is tropical, with pineapple, tangerine and ripe peach, soft vanilla and a light coastal note. The palate is sweet and citrusy, with sherbet and Turkish delight and a thick, almost oily texture. The finish is long and waxy, with mint leaf and gentle smoke.
