Stagg Jr Kentucky Straight Bourbon Batch 11 (75cl, 64%)

Stagg Jr Batch 11 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, released in winter 2018. It is the distillery's annual cask-strength bourbon, named for George T. Stagg, and each batch is its own barrel selection. This one was bottled uncut and unfiltered at 127.9 proof, or 63.95% ABV, in the original Stagg Jr era, before the name was shortened to Stagg in 2022. The nose offers cherry, vanilla, oak and honey. On the palate come vanilla, nuts, pepper and cherry pie filling, followed by a long finish of cherry, vanilla and pepper.
