Stagg Jr Kentucky Straight Bourbon Batch 15 (75cl, 65.5%)

Stagg Jr Batch 15 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, released in winter 2020. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 65.55% ABV, or 131.1 proof, in a 75cl bottle. Each Stagg Jr batch is a barrel selection bottled at its natural proof, and the series is named for George T. Stagg. Batch 15 comes from the original Stagg Jr years, before Buffalo Trace shortened the name to Stagg in 2022. Caramel and vanilla with dark fruit lead on the nose. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, with intense caramel, vanilla and dark fruit, followed by a long finish.
