Stagg Jr Batch 7 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, part of the distillery's annual barrel-strength releases. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 65% ABV (130 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The nose is rich chocolate, caramel and rye spice. The palate is bold and full, showing the high-rye Buffalo Trace character at natural barrel strength. The finish is long, with dark cherry, cloves and warming spice.
