Stagg Batch 19 is a cask-strength Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace, bottled uncut and unfiltered at 65% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is the second Stagg release of 2022, which is what 22B denotes, and the nineteenth batch overall. It was the first to carry the year-based naming, after the range was known as Stagg Jr until 2022.
The nose brings caramel, fig, apple, vanilla and brown sugar, with cinnamon and sweet oak. On the palate, caramel and molasses meet rye spice, leather, black pepper and anise. The finish is vanilla and toffee with a touch of sea salt and lingering warm spice.
