Stagg Batch 23B is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, bottled uncut and unfiltered at 63.9% ABV (127.8 proof). It comes in a 750ml bottle.
Stagg is the distillery's annual cask-strength bourbon, and each batch is a selection of barrels kept at its natural proof. This is the second batch of 2023.
The nose combines caramel, toffee and vanilla with stone fruit, cherry and baking spice. On the palate come cinnamon, clove and pepper alongside chocolate and seasoned oak, and the finish carries baking spice, cherry and barrel char.
