This is an Indiana bourbon from Starlight Distillery, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The distillery sits on the Huber family estate, where the family has farmed since 1843.
It is distilled in an 80-gallon copper pot still imported from Germany and aged for at least four years in charred American white oak barrels, drawn from three coopers and four barrel styles. The final blend marries several mashbills of corn, rye, malted barley and wheat.
The nose offers bananas foster, toasted oak, French vanilla, ginger and black cherry. The palate brings caramel corn, peanut brittle, toffee, cinnamon and dried red fruit, and the finish is long and warm, with toffee and toasted oak.
