Starlight Carl T. Huber's Tokaji Finished Bourbon Single Barrel (75cl, 55%)

A cask strength single barrel bourbon from Starlight Distillery, which sits on the Huber's Orchard, Winery & Vineyards grounds in Indiana. It is bottled at 55% in a 750ml bottle. The spirit comes from a blend of the distillery's three-grain and four-grain mash bills and spends at least four years in new charred American oak. It is then moved at cask strength into first-fill Hungarian barrels that previously held Tokaji Essencia, where it finishes for four to eight months. The nose is ripe stone fruit and golden honey, with tangerine zest and baking spice. On the palate come apricot preserves, wildflower honey, butterscotch, clove and cinnamon, and the finish is long and warming.
