Nova is a single malt from Starward in Australia, bottled at 41% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured entirely in Australian red wine barrels from nearby wineries, which are known for shiraz, cabernet and pinot noir.
The nose brings red berries, dark chocolate and orchard fruit, with soft oak spice, raisins, toffee and vanilla. On the palate there is a rich chocolate and raspberry pudding with vanilla, caramel and spice, alongside honey, cinnamon and figs, in a creamy, nutty texture with a touch of tannin. The finish is soft and long, with bright red fruit gradually joined by oak.
