Starward Nova is a single malt from Melbourne, Australia, bottled at 41% in a 70cl bottle. It is made entirely from Australian malted barley.
The whisky is fully matured in locally sourced red wine barrels from shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and pinot noir producers. The casks are filled within days of being emptied, which keeps the wine character vivid.
The nose offers red berries, caramelised apple and baking spice. The palate is silky and juicy, with plum, dark chocolate and red wine richness, and the finish is long, clean and slightly dry, with red fruit and cocoa.
