A five-year-old Danish single malt from Stauning, distilled in August 2020 and matured for its full term in a single cask, #2544, of new American oak. It was bottled in September 2025 at a natural cask strength of 61%, without added colour or chill-filtration.
It belongs to The Awakening Series 2025, created for the first Whisky Live in Hamburg. Smoke and light peat sit alongside vanilla sweetness, spicy oak, malt and light fruit.
The nose is sweet and creamy, with vanilla, honey and butterscotch, cereal, fresh malt and ripe apple. On the palate, vanilla custard, toffee and sweet malt come with cinnamon, roasted nuts and light fruit. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla, honey and malt sugar over a soft wood note.
