Douro Dreams is a limited single rye from the Danish distillery Stauning, distilled in 2020 and bottled in 2023 at 41% ABV. It was made in a run of 4,600 bottles worldwide, filled from 19 port casks.
The floor-malted rye whisky was matured in heavily charred new American oak, then combined with whisky from Ruby and Tawny port casks from Portugal's Douro Valley.
It is described as a liquid take on rye bread, with red berries, green apples and toasted notes adding fruit and spice.
