This is a five year old single malt from the Danish distillery Stauning, distilled in 2020 and bottled in September 2025 as a single cask for The Awakening Series. It matured in new American oak and is bottled at a cask strength of 61%, without chill-filtration and without added colour, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines sweet, creamy vanilla and honey with soft malt and a fine oak spice. On the palate come vanilla pudding, toffee and light fruit, with cinnamon and roasted nuts. The finish is long and warm, with malt sugar and honey.
