Stauning Rye PX Sherry Oak is a Danish rye whisky bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from locally grown rye and barley, floor malted at the distillery and distilled in small, direct-fired copper stills.
After maturing in the usual Stauning rye style, the whisky is finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which add sweetness to the spicy rye character.
It is described as showing dark fruit, sweet sherry notes and warm spice, with a long, round and generous finish.
