Stauning HØST is a Danish whisky made from rye and malted barley spirit, bottled at 40.5% in a 70cl bottle. The grain comes from the area around the Stauning distillery. It is bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration.
The spirit is matured in bourbon casks and heavily charred new American white oak, then finished in first-fill Port barriques.
The nose is vanilla, beeswax and citrus. The palate brings meadow honey, toffee, apple and red berries, and the finish is syrupy, with cinnamon, oak and a subtle spiciness.
