Stauning – Barley 2017/2021 Limited Edition Danish Whisky (70cl, 51.5%)

This is a 4 year old Danish single malt from Stauning, distilled in January 2017 and bottled in September 2021. It is a limited edition at a cask strength of 51.5% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. It was matured in first-fill bourbon casks, then in Madeira and ruby port casks. The nose has malt, hops, ripe plums, pears and peppery notes. On the palate are mild tobacco, malt, raisins, milk chocolate, plums and pears. The finish is a gentle tingle with raisins and vanilla.
