Stauning – El Clasico Vermouth Finish (70cl, 45%)

A Danish rye whisky from Stauning, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from local ingredients, malted on the floor at the distillery and double-distilled in small, open-fired pot stills. The whisky was matured in virgin American oak and finished in Spanish vermouth casks. It has a deep amber colour and a sweet aftertaste with a touch of bitter botanicals. The nose brings apples, oranges, ripe plum, warm spices, cinnamon and roasted caramel. On the palate there are dried fruits, citrus and crushed pepper, and the long, warm finish has bittersweet vermouth notes.
