Stauning – HØST Double Malt (70cl, 40.5%)

Stauning HØST is a Danish double malt from the west coast of Denmark, in a 70cl bottle at 40.5%. It combines two styles from one distillery: a single malt made from Danish barley and a malted rye whisky. The grain is grown near the distillery and floor-malted on site. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and heavily charred new American white oak, then finished in first-fill Port casks. Stauning was founded in 2005 by nine friends. HØST is described as mild and fruit-led, and its label calls it fruity and floral.
