Stauning – R.Y.E. Danish Rye & Barley (70cl, 48%)

Stauning R.Y.E. is a Danish rye whisky from Jutland, made from rye and barley and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered. The grain is Danish and 100% floor-malted on site. It is distilled in small direct-fired copper pot stills and matured in virgin American oak barrels, which bring vanilla, caramel and toasted spice to the rye. The colour is honey. The nose offers dark chocolate, creamy caramel and cinnamon. On the palate, lively spice meets the sweetness of malted barley, with hazelnut nougat, vanilla, pepper, liquorice and dried fruit.
