Suntory Yamazaki 12 Year 100th Anniversary Edition is a Japanese single malt bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It marks the centenary of Yamazaki Distillery, Japan's first malt whisky distillery, founded in 1923.
The whisky is distilled from malted barley in copper pot stills and matured for at least 12 years in American oak, Spanish oak and Mizunara oak casks.
The nose offers ripe peach, pineapple, candied orange and clove, with vanilla and resinous Mizunara oak. The palate is soft and sweet, with coconut, cranberry and winter spice, and the long finish carries ginger, cinnamon and citrus zest.
