Taketsuru Nikka Blended Malt 17 Year Old (43%)

Taketsuru is a 17 year old blended malt from Nikka, bottled in 2017 at 43% ABV. It brings together malt whiskies from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. Some of the malts matured in sherry casks. The name points to Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka, and to the meeting of Japanese whisky production with Scottish-influenced distilling knowledge. Dried fruit, leather, tobacco, oak, malt and dark spice notes make up the profile.
