Talisker 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, an official bottling from around 2015 at 45.8% ABV.
The nose opens with clean coastal smoke, black pepper and sea spray, with warm malt, citrus peel and honeyed barley underneath. On the palate it is full and oily, with peppery heat, sea salt and charred driftwood, brightened by lemon zest and softened by vanilla, toffee and barley sugar. The finish is long and warming, with pepper, sea salt and ash.
