Talisker – 175th Anniversary (6cl, 45.8%)

This is the commemorative Talisker released for the distillery's 175th anniversary and bottled in 2005 at 45.8%. It comes in a 6cl bottle. Maureen Robinson, one of Diageo's master blenders, composed it from Talisker that had matured for at least ten years, with some casks going back to the 1970s. The nose offers sea air, light toffee and distant peat smoke, with plum jam, quince and ripe apricot. The palate is smooth, sweet and peppery, with sugared lemon, tangerine, tea and liquorice, and the finish is medium long.
