This is the 2020 Distillers Edition from Talisker, bottled at 45.8%. The whisky was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2020, and it was matured a second time in ex-bodega Spanish Amoroso sherry casks (TD-S: 5WI).
The style is smoky and maritime, with fruity sweetness set against dry smoke and the peppery note associated with Talisker.
In the glass it shows heather, raisins and peat smoke, followed by pepper, ripe fruit, a little cocoa and vanilla, and damp earth.
