A 25 year old single malt from Talisker on the Isle of Skye, released as Made By The Sea. It was matured mainly in American oak hogsheads, with some refill European oak.
The nose brings seaweed, old oranges, distant smoke and chalk, with oak furniture, cider apples, banana and fudge. The palate is sweet, salty and acidic, with salted caramel, chilli chocolate, smoky barley and nectarines, then pepper, liquorice, citrus and salt. The finish is long, with honey, citrus and salinity, sweet smoke with cedar, and peppery peat.
