Talisker – 30 Year Old Made By The Sea 2021 Release (48.5%)

This is a 30 year old Talisker from the Made By The Sea 2021 release, drawn from casks set aside for this bottling. Only 3,216 bottles were filled. It is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at a cask strength of 48.5% and not chill-filtered. The nose combines gentle peat smoke with bright fruit and maritime aromas. The palate is soft yet powerful, with noticeable smoke, ripe stone fruit, salted caramel and burnt almonds. The finish is very long and maritime, the familiar chilli notes turning to fresh white pepper.
