Talisker 47 Magma is an official bottling of single malt from the distillery on the Isle of Skye. It was distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2025. After almost five decades in cask it was finished in casks toasted with volcanic rock from the island. The edition is 622 bottles.
The nose offers a pronounced sea breeze and dried seaweed, with Scottish toffee sweetness and restrained fruit. On the palate, mineral saltiness meets volcanic smoke, creamy toffee and exotic spices. The finish is long and spicy, ending in a fiery note of chilli.
