Talisker 8 Year Old is part of the annual Special Release series from Diageo. This 2020 edition is a single malt from the Isle of Skye's islands region, bottled at cask strength of 57.8%.
The whisky was matured in Caribbean rum casks, and it keeps the maritime character of the distillery at a young age. Adding a little water is suggested.
It is described as having plenty of soft, ripe fruit, with a lightly salty and smoky edge.
