Talisker 8 Year Old Special Release 2021 is a single malt from the Islands region of Scotland, matured for eight years and bottled at a cask-strength 59.7% ABV.
The nose opens sweet, with vanilla and biscuit and a faint medicinal note, followed by salty seaweed and fruit. On the palate it is peppery, with smoke, honey and stone fruit. The finish is long and sweet, with hints of black pepper and chilli.
A few drops of water bring out further aromas.
