Talisker Distillers Edition 2019 is a single malt from the Talisker distillery on Skye, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2019 at 45.8%.
After its first maturation it was matured a second time in ex-bodega Spanish Amoroso sherry casks. It is described as smoky and maritime, with a fruity sweetness alongside dry smoke and the peppery note that marks Talisker.
The nose brings Talisker's spice with sweet raisins and spicy heather. The palate shows clear peat and returning heather, with oak, white pepper, sweetness and juicy fruit. The finish is intense cocoa with fresh vanilla and earthy peat, lightly sweet.
