Talisker – Port Ruighe Single Malt (45.8%)

Talisker Port Ruighe is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8%. The whisky is first matured in oak casks and then moved into old port casks for a finish. The name is that of Skye's largest town, Portree, and is also a play on the port casks used here. The port finish pairs Talisker's maritime character with juicy, sweet berry fruit and ripe plum. On the palate there is a run of fruit notes that keeps going. The finish is long and creamy, leaving an intense cocoa-dried smoke.
