Talisker – Surge (2022)

Talisker Surge is a 2022 single malt from the Isle of Skye, matured entirely in first-fill bourbon casks. It sets Talisker's maritime smoke against a fresh, creamy sweetness. The character runs to salty sea air, peat smoke and peppery warmth. The nose has sea salt, light peat, citrus, vanilla, green apple and warm wood. On the palate, creamy sweetness gives way to pepper, smoke, toffee, citrus oil and roasted malt. The finish is medium to long, smoky, slightly salty and warmly spicy.
