This is a 20 Year Old Tawny Port from Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman, a Port house that has been making wine since 1692. It comes from the Douro Valley and is bottled at 20% ABV.
The wine is aged in seasoned oak casks for an average of twenty years, which gives it an amber-tawny colour and a gradual, oxidative character. It is bottled ready to drink.
The nose offers dried apricot, fig, orange blossom and hazelnut over butterscotch and light caramel. The palate is medium-full and jammy, with toasted nuts, honeyed toffee and spice. The finish is long, with mellow dried fruit and a soft saline trace.
