Taylor's Vintage Port 2017 (75cl, 20%)

Taylor's Vintage Port 2017 comes from Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman, a family-owned port house based in Vila Nova de Gaia. The grapes are grown in the Douro Valley on the house's own three estates: Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and Quinta do Junco. It is a well-structured, powerful port, suited to dessert or a glass after a meal. Like all vintage port it throws a natural deposit, so it should stand upright for 48 hours before opening and be decanted gently. The colour is deep purple, almost black. The nose is intense and exotic, with black berries, violets and roses. The palate is concentrated yet elegant and balanced, with a very long finish.
