Teeling 15 Year Old Single Grain Sauvignon Blanc Finish (70cl, 50%)

This is a 15 year old Irish single grain from Teeling, made from a mash of 95% maize and 5% malt. It spent fourteen years in ex-bourbon casks and a final year in casks that previously held Sauvignon Blanc. It is a limited edition that follows an older Teeling single grain with Bordeaux red wine cask influence, and it continues the exploration of wine casks with a white wine finish. Bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, it is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose is light, with citrus and grapefruit, green apple and honeysuckle. On the palate, fresh peppery spice meets honeydew melon and vanilla sweetness, with a note of pear, and the finish is dry with subtle fruit lingering.
