Teeling – 21 Year Old Rising Reserve #3 Ruby Port Cask Finish (70cl, 46%)

Teeling Rising Reserve No. 3 is a 21-year-old Irish single malt, the third edition in the limited Rising Reserve series, with 6,000 bottles filled. It matured for 18 years in ex-bourbon casks, then spent three years finishing in ruby port casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. The port casks add ripe cherry, plum and milk chocolate, with brown sugar and light oak spice. The nose has caramel and red dried fruit with sandalwood. On the palate are brown sugar, chocolate truffle, Christmas cake and juicy plum. The finish is long, with golden syrup, soft tannins, cooked barley and oak spice.
