Teeling – Blackpitts Peated Single Malt (46%)

Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from Teeling Whiskey in Dublin, named after the historic Blackpitts area behind the distillery. It is made entirely from heavily peated malted barley and bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered. The spirit is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Sauternes white wine casks. Triple distillation softens the medicinal side often found in heavily peated whisky, while the savoury smoke remains. Barbecue-style smoke leads the nose, alongside cloves, butterscotch and orange peel. On the palate come applewood smoke, honey, allspice, stewed pears and grilled pineapple. The finish is salted caramel and seasoned wood with smoke.
